The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has set up a helpline for construction workers who fear they might have been blacklisted. This follows the seizure by the ICO of a secret list run by the Consulting Association which listed over 3,000 construction workers and was used by over 40 construction companies to vet workers.
Workers who want to check whether or not their details are on the list can ring the helpline. The number is: 0845 630 6060 or 01625 545745. It is open between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
